Episode 71 of CasterQuest recaps chapter 22-24 in our “The Wise Man’s Fear” book club, from the second novel of Patrick Rothfuss’ bestselling fantasy series- “The Kingkiller Chronicle”.
In this episode- Kvothe hones his skills in adept sympathy, sharing an enlightening conversation with Elxa Dal about Naming. A fruitless search for Denna in Imre results in a visit with Count Threpe at the Eolian, and futile attempt to verify whether Denna’s patron is legitimate. A series of strange circumstances lead Kvothe and his friends to suspect that there may be something more nefarious behind the bizarre sensations plaguing Kvothe…dare we say Malfeasance? But if that’s the case- who’s behind the magical attacks?
In an effort to shake off anyone trying to track him, Kvothe explores a new area in the Underthing with Auri, and she reveals she may have some information about the Amyr and the Ciridae.
