“The Wise Man’s Fear” Ch 74-76: Tinker Tanner Soldier Spy

Episode 95 of CasterQuest recaps chapters 74-76 of “The Wise Man’s Fear” the second novel in Patrick Rothfuss’ best-selling fantasy series “The Kingkiller Chronicle”.

In this episode the Maer figures out that you don’t have to pay your contractors if they just happen to die all alone in the middle of the forest. Kvothe gets hustled into forming a DnD campaign to capture some bandits in the Eld that have been way-laying Alveron’s tax collectors. It’s a dangerously suicidal endeavor, so who would be better to lead the way than a 16 year old that you’re in debt to? (Anyone… literally anyone.)

On his way to the Eld, Kvothe comes across Garfield the Deals Tinker, and he’s going to make Kvothe a great deal!

We meet Kvothe’s new companions- Bounty Hunters Dedan and Hespe, Tracker Marten, and a fidgety foreigner who is reportedly as deadly as he is awkward to have a conversation with.

Will Kvothe be able to find the bandits without being murdered to death? Good luck, you just played yourself.
